Pre-Game Setup

Most boardgames require a small amount of setup before you can begin playing the game. Ruby Racko does, too.

Before each game, Ruby Racko requires you to:

  1. Read (or skip) the rules.
  2. Decide who is playing.
  3. Shuffle the cards.

Read or Skip the Rules

This is the very first screen you will see on start up.

Enter a 1, y, or yes to read the rules. Enter 0, n, or no to skip the rules.

Deciding Who is Playing

Ruby Racko requires at least one human player. Enter a number between 1 and 4 to select your desired number of human players.

Enter a name for each human player when prompted.

If you have selected fewer than four human players, you will have the option to add a "computer player."

When you decide to stop adding computer players, Ruby Racko gives you the option to review and redo your roster of players.

Confirm your player selection to move on.

*A known bug exists that displays all human-player names in lowercase letters. This bug does not impact gameplay.

Shuffling the Cards

Ruby Racko automatically shuffles the cards before dealing them to players. You may reshuffle the cards as many times as desired.

Enter 0, n, or no at this prompt when you are ready to play.
